A scheme has been launched for the old citizens by the Government of Bihar named as “Mukhya Mantri Vridhjan Pension Yojana”. Shri Nitish Kumar, Bihar Chief Minister, has launched this scheme so that all the old citizens whose age is above 60 years can avail the benefits under this scheme. All the registered Old citizens will provided with a pension amount on every month. Social welfare Department looks in to this scheme directly.

Benefits of Mukhya Mantri Vridhjan Pension Yojana:-
- Beneficiary or eligible citizen will get a fixed amount or pension on every month.
- The main motive behind launching this scheme is to make the old citizens independent on their old days i.e they don’t need to depend on any one for financial purpose.
- With this Pension amount, one can fulfill his requirements.
- Beneficiary will get the pension till they live.
- Government Employees can not avail the benefits of this scheme.
Eligibility Criteria for Mukhya Mantri Vridhjan Pension Yojana:-
- Must be a permanent resident of Bihar.
- Applicants whose age is more than 60 age can only apply under this scheme.
- Government Employees are not eligible to apply for this scheme.
Documents Required to apply for Mukhya Mantri Vridhjan Pension Yojana:-
- Aadhaar Card.
- Bank Account Details.
- Identity Proof (Voter Id Card, Driving License)
- Birth Certificate ( For Age Proof)
- Applicant Passport Size Photo.

How to Apply Online for Mukhya Mantri Vridhjan Pension Yojana/SSPMIS Pension?
If you want to apply under this scheme and wish to avail the benefits, follow the below steps:-
- Visit the official webiste.
- Click on “Register for MVPY” option.
- As soon as you click on above option, a new web page will open in front of you.
- Enter all the details asked. (This page is basically to verify the Applicant’s Aadhaar Card number for MVPY.
- Once done, click on “Validate Aadhaar” button
- Once the verification process done, click on “Proceed” button just beside the “Validate Aadhaar” button.
- A new web page will open with the application form.
- Enter all the information asked carefully.
- Once done, Submit the application/registration form.
- You have successfully registered on Web portal now.
How to Login on SSPMIS Portal:-
- Visit the official website.
- Choose the “Login” option from the homepage dashboard.
- Enter the Login Id and Password.
- Enter the Security Code
- Click on Login button.

How to check the Payment Status Online | Bihar Vridhjan Pension Yojana Status:-
- Visit the official website.
- Click on “Register for MVPY” option.
- Choose the “Search Application Status” option.
- Select the option from drop down on the basis of which you want to search your application status and respective Id.
- Click on “Application Status” button.
- You will get the status of your application now.
