The Government of Bihar has launched a new scheme called “Mukhya Mantri Gram Parivahan Yojana” with an aims to provide 50 % subsidy on the purchase vehicles. The main motive behind the launch of this scheme is to help the people of rural areas as they are highly affected due to this pandemic and to fulfill their needs, they have to depend on their daily wages. They are not so much financially strong that they can afford for vehicle to start up their own small business. To keep this in mind, the Government of Bihar has launched this scheme. Under this scheme, 50% subsidy will be given on the purchase of 4-seater vehicle to 10 seater vehicle.

Key Points of Mukhya Mantri Gram Parivahan Yojana:-
- As a part of this scheme,, people belongs to Scheduled Caste/Tribes and other backward Classes, who are currently unemployed, can apply and avail the benefits.
- Mukhya Mantri Gram Parivahan Yojana provides a financial assistance i.e 50 % subsidy on the purchase of Vehicle, so one can not afford or have financial problem can apply for registration and purchase a vehicle to start up their small own business.
- The State Government aims to encourage or raise the employment level through this scheme.
- The State Government has sanctioned a budget of Rs 421 Crore to run the Mukhya Mantri Gram Parivahan Yojana Smoothly.
- Applicant must belongs to rural areas (Only Scheduled Caste/Tribes and Other Backward Classes).
- Age must be 21 years or more.
- Those who have already Vehicles and have their own work/Job, can not avail the benefits under this scheme.
- As a part of this scheme, Only Gram Panchayat falls under the Bihar state will avail the benefits.
