Whats details one can update in Aadhaar Card on SSUP Portal Online:-
One can now update or make correction in their Aadhaar Card as per new guidelines by UIDAI. Below are the details one can amend on SSUP Portal:-
- Name
- Date of Birth
- Gender
- Address
- Language (One can choose language as per their wish)
Note :- Please make sure your mobile number must be linked to the Aadhaar Card, it is mandatory to make any correction on SSUP Portal. You have to upload the documents as for Proof purpose for the changes your are going to made, suppose if you are going for DOB Correction you have to upload Birth certificate or High School Marksheet as a Certificate on the portal.
Documents Required for Aadhaar Card Update:-
- Documents required for Name Correction :- PAN Card, Passport, Voter Id Card, Driving License, Bank Passbook with Name and Photo ( One can choose any One of these document for name Correction)
- Documents required for Date of Birth Correction :- Birth Certificate, High School/Intermediate Mark Sheet, Passport.
- Documents Required for Address Correction :- Passport, Voter Id Card, Electricity Bill, Water Bill, Property Documents (Tax Receipt), Bank Statement, Ration Card ( One can choose any one of these documents for Address Correction).
- Documents required for Relationship Proof :- Birth Certificate, Passport, Marriage Certificate.

The main benefit of this portal is that it saves a lot of time of aadhaar card holders as they don’t have to take any appointment or stand in long queue for correction in their Aadhaar Card. One can do this task easily from their home.
How to make corrections in Aadhaar Card via SSUP Portal?
- Visit the official website of SSUP Portal.
- Click on “Proceed to Update Aadhaar” option.
- As soon as you click on this option, a new web page will open in front of you.
- Enter all the details asked.
- Click on Send OTP button.
- Enter the OTP received in given space.
- Click on “Login” option.
- You will be successfully logged in on SSUP Portal.
- Now you will see the options for Aadhaar Card Correction.
- Choose the First one i.e “Update Demographics data including Address” for make correction in name , address etc.
- You will see a correction form, as soon as you click on above option.
- Choose the correction type you want to make i.e Name, Address, Gender, Date of birth etc.
- Once select, click on Proceed button.
- You will be redirected to a new page where an application form will open.
- Here you have to mention the correct details that you want to amend.
- Upload the applicable documents.
- A small fee need to be pay for Aadhaar Card Correction, you can pay it through online mode.
- Once the payment done, a receipt will appear on your screen.
- Print out it and keep this to yourself for future purpose (for tracking the application status).
